What Happened on June 8, 1967
The USS Liberty, America’s most advanced NSA intelligence ship, was operating legally in international waters off the Sinai Peninsula during the Six-Day War.
Without warning, the ship was attacked by a supposed ally — Israel.
According to Phil:
Israeli recon planes circled the ship for hours, waving at the crew.
At 2:00 PM, Israeli jets—with their markings painted over—launched a full assault.
All communications antennas were destroyed within seconds.
Napalm, rockets, and machine-gun fire tore through the decks.
Torpedo boats fired five torpedoes — one killed 25 Americans instantly.
Helicopters carrying Israeli commandos approached to board and finish the job.

Israel surveilled the ship for hours prior to the attack.
